Challenge A

What inspires ownership?

Students twelve years and older are introduced to the rigorous work of the Challenge program as they encounter the joys and challenges of this discussion-charged Challenge A program. It is a mix of grammar and dialectic materials as well as an introduction to basic rhetorical skills. We purposely limit the amount of reading to give students time to work on their writing skills. This fulfilling program prepares students for the later Challenges by serving as a bridge between the parent-directed elementary level and a more self-directed stage of learning.

We recommend all the resources listed below for students and parents enrolled in the Challenge A programme. Don’t panic, though: Rome wasn’t built in a day, and your collection will grow over time. Only certain items are required to complete assignments and can be found by clicking on the button below.
